Delta Gamma Recruitment!!!

How do I become a member?

Delta Gamma recruits most new collegiate members during an organized process on college campuses called formal recruitment. Formal recruitment is usually held at the very beginning of Winter Quarter. The exact dates and process are determined by the collegiate Panhellenic organization of the Greek Affairs office on each campus.

If a chapter has vacancies at any time during the year, Delta Gamma may recruit informally in a process called Continuous Open Bidding or COB. This is a great opportunity to get to know members in a more casual manner and setting. To learn if Delta Gamma is participating in COB, you can contact the local collegiate chapter or your Greek Affairs office.
Who selects new members?
Only collegiate Delta Gamma members have the privilege of selecting new members. While the Fraternity has an established procedure to guide chapters in this process to ensure consistency, the members themselves make their own decisions. In Delta Gamma, we pride ourselves on being individuals. Through our diversity of personalities and interests we are able to strengthen our bonds of sisterhood. Our members are looking for women who will bring the qualities that our members themselves hold near and dear such as:

* Lifelong commitment to Delta Gamma
* Desire for service to others
* Achieving academic potential
* Varied leadership positions, activities and talents
* Strong moral character
* Desire to belong to an organization with high ideals and a strong sisterhood

Why Delta Gamma?

Consistent with our founders' thoughts over 129 years ago, our primary purpose is to create an environment for our members in which lasting friendships and our vows of sisterhood emanate all aspects of our Fraternity. We encourage an atmosphere which will foster high ideals of friendship among college women, promote their educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility and develop in them the best qualities of character. Through our Delta Gamma Foundation we support our members' academic endeavors with undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships and interest-free loans. Every member is unique and yet they all join together in a single bond of friendship through Delta Gamma.

Delta Gamma is more than just a collegiate experience; it is a lifetime of commitment, support and opportunity awaiting you!
